Well since I left you hanging from the January blog, I'll start out by saying how lucky Whitey was that he only got a warning ticket that day he got pulled over. I will say my dad has yet to let him live it down though ;) We had a blast sking at Wolf Creek in Colorado for a few days, the snow was awesome but the one thing missing was our professional golfer. Here are some pictures from our trip...
Well we got home and celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Can't believe it's already been 2 years, but then again time flies when your having fun and we do have sooo much fun together. I'm so blessed that God didn't wait a minute more to put us in each others lives (of course thanks to Lauren too, sorry Kyle ;) )! My dad sent me the picture below on our Anniversary, we actually used this sign for our "save the date" pictures and it's still hanging in his garage! Makes me smile!
I was able to hear some great news in January, but had to keep it a secret until February ! Our friends The Hopper's found out they will be having a baby in August! Aunt Ash and Uncle David are soooo excited to be along side them for this next chapter of their lives! :) Hurry up August!!!
A few other things that happened in February were getting to meet up with my old college roommate and her husband and kids for lunch one afternoon. It was so great to catch up with them. Bonnie is a true blessing in my life, so thankful for her and her family and their Young Life Ministry in Mason !
The next big news in February was finding out that one of my best friends Jessica got engaged! Such an exciting time! I am so blessed and honored that she has asked me to be a part of her wedding. Can't wait for all the fun festivities to come! :)
Next on the list in February was my induction into the Burleson Sports Hall of Fame for our 2000-2001 Volleyball season! This was truly an honor to be nominated for. I now get to be in the Burleson Sports Hall of Fame with some of the best , my grandpa , and my brother! It was so great getting to see the team and catch up with them. These girls have a huge place in my heart, it was such a blessing to not only play with them all those years, but to also be inducted into the HOF together! I was so blessed to have my whole family there and my amazing husband to support me!
So we all know how competitive David and I are, so of course David had to break out his letterman jacket to show me all his patches after I was inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame :) This is probably another picture I will get in trouble for posting , but I couldn't resist! Enjoy!
That same weekend of the Hall of Fame Induction I ran the Cowtown Half Marathon. The weather couldn't have been better! We had a great time and had the best supporters out there, even if they did visit the donut shop in between seeing us at different miles on the run ;)

2014 IS HERE !
Well I can't believe it's actually 2014 ! Team Whitehead rang in the New Year at the house since David was sick and well ok ok we probably wouldn't have done anything anyways ;) but we were sure to get to the store for the tradition of eating our black eyed peas! We had some complications though, and Target was OUT! So we ran around town, and I wasn't going home until I had my black eyed peas ;) Finally we found some, saved by the bell!
We had our yearly New Years/Pops birthday dinner. Definantly a special meal at the Howard house, there was laughter, tears from so much laughter, and more laughter! As you can see the guys were ready to grub down on some food !
Well toward the middle of January , David and I together made a decision that I was going to put in my two week notice at Alcon. I had been at Alcon for 8 years, so Alcon was all I knew and the people there were like family. There was a little fear in my decision because that is all I have done since I graduated from college and I'm not one that's big on "change", but I knew in my heart it's what needed to be done. I knew God would guide me through it and he did just that. I could not have done it without the support of my awesome husband. I'm excited to finally start using my degree and pursing the health and fitness world that I went to school for, so stay tuned to the blog.
David and I attended AdvoCare Regional Success School during January in Houston. We did a quick day trip to Houston to get trained by the best of the best and we are excited for what this year is going to bring for us and for others on our team that we are getting to help along the way with their health and finances. TEAM CHAMPION BUILDERS!
The week after Success School it was Rodeo time in Fort Worth , so in tradition we went to Bull's Night Out and had a blast !
We finally got to have our Howard/Knox/Whitehead "Christmas dinner" in January, but we were missing one of the ring leaders, Pops who was home sick. Always a fun time with this crew...they are TRUE FAMILY and we love them so much !
Well the time had come January 30th, my last day at Alcon. It's crazy how my 8 years of memories came flooding back. The group gave me some things they thought I might need upon leaving ....let's just say we all know I don't cook and they continue to try to help me all the time. They presented me with a cookbook, measuring cups, apron, and of course some Pepto for David ;) They know me all too well. I was blessed to work with some awesome people and miss seeing their smiling faces.
After my last day we actually got up early the next morning and drove to Colorado for some sking. This was a great way to end January and celebrate our 2 year anniversary in February as well ! We had a blast and didn't want to come home!
Here is the start to our trip....I'll leave it at that until the February blog ;) I might be in trouble after posting this one :)

During January we had several friends bring babies into this world, and since we were sick the first part of January we had to wait awhile to see them all. Finally we got to visit the Benolken Twins, and David wanted to take them home with us ;) I think he said because "They don't do anything but sleep". Oh boy is he in for a rude awakening some day ! ha ha
