So we started brainstorming for David's costume ideas, because his work gives out a $500 prize to the winner. David is determined to win every year and always wants to come up with a very unique costume. Well this year we were thinking of what he could do and I just said "you know what would be funny is if you were Big Tex" I said it not thinking it would actually happen. David took the idea and ran with it. So we started getting things together for his costume, he had some help I might add. My mom painted his shirt (which was awesome). She just thought her halloween costume making days were over ;) Then David went to Home Depot and Lowes to try and "make" his stilts. Yes this was a bit trying at times, I didn't really like going out in the garage at 10 at night to find him strapping these big wooden pieces to his foot and trying to walk ha ha. We called around to try and rent stilts and even my dad got on the phone calling some contacts he had. Yes this was a family involved costume!!! Well Halloween was finally here and everything came together, David even got dry ice to put in the top of the hat he made to make it look like it was on fire. Judging time came and in the end the winner was BIG TEX !!! David was so pumped!! Now if I can just get him to spend his winnings on me ;)
At my work we usually do a group theme and this year we went with movies. My friend Hilary and I decided to team up on a movie and do Castaway, with Tom Hanks where he is stranded on the island with his volleyball named Wilson. We didn't win our competition like David, but we had fun doing it !!!

So glad Halloween is over and we get to start my favorite month ... NOVEMBER ! We are definantly ready for our first Holidays together as a married couple and can't wait to share it with our family and friends.
LOVE YOU ALL, hope everyone has a great start to November !!
