ALL that was August !

Well as August started Melanie and the kids were still visiting from Montana, and we loved that we got about 2 full weeks with them !  During this time Kyla got to visit some colleges to start thinking about where she wants to go when she graduates in a few years.  Uncle David was soooo excited to take her to A&M to visit and see the campus.  David was like a kid in a candy store.   Our friend Emily works for A&M and she got to show us all that A&M is about.  Kyla went wild when we took her in the bookstore on campus and well, so did David.  Hhhmmm she is just as crazy as her Aunt and Uncle! We also got to stop and see the George Bush Library and Museum in College Station.  So glad we got to go , and we got special privileges to get in FREE ....thanks Dale ;)

In August David and I attended our 4th or 5th Advocare Success School with our team.  For those of you that don't know David and I started taking and selling Advocare products about 2 1/2 years ago.  Advocare is a world-class nutrition company specializing in health and wellness, weight management, energy and sports performance.  Advocare Success School is an experience that you will not forget.  Success School is a powerful weekend that gets you excited, engaged and equipped to change your life and others.  We get to hear awesome speakers (Walter Bond, Erik Wahl), endorsers (Jason Witten), just to name a few and at a previous success school we got the honor of hearing the 43rd President George W. Bush speak.  AMAZING EXPERIENCE!  Success School will fire you up and it fires us up to be a part of such an awesome company and team. #TheChampionBuilders

It was officially out there in August that one of my best friends will be moving,  Brittany, Collin and little Beck.  Not just moving towns....MOVING TO AUSTRALIA !  I'm very sad that she won't be just right down the road, but she will be a long plane ride away :(  However, I know I'm being selfish wanting to keep her here , but when God gives you an opportunity sometimes you just can't say no !  I'm excited for their adventure, and maybe a visit myself hopefully !! ;)  Ok I'm done typing about it...my eyes are getting blurry with tears and I can't see the computer screen.  Love you Keetons!

We had a celebration "After the Wedding" shower for our good friends Stoney and Alex Rincones, who you saw in a previous post about their surprise wedding.  It was a great celebration to celebrate both of them and what they mean to our family.  For those of you that know my mom, of course she had a photo booth set up for some fun :)

Time was flying by in August and before we knew it , it was Cole's birthday !  Can't believe my baby brother is so grown up !  We had a quick dinner celebration one night before he ran off to another golf tournament out of state.  I'm so proud of him for going after his dream day in and day out!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBA!

That time of year is hear again where the Whitehead house is filled with lots and lots of dirty camo laundry !  The gang headed to the deer lease the last weekend of August to do some preparing for the season and a little dove hunting.  I was looking forward to this weekend to get away from the rush rush of the city and slow it down a bit, but we all know that with all boys there was stinky feet, farting and snoring.   The feeders are now filled and the cameras are ready, I just hope it's a little cooler the next time we go ;)  It's HUNTING SEASON!  GO TIME!
Hopefully in an upcoming blog we will have a picture of that BIG monster buck ! ;)  Wish us luck !
