October, Fall, & Hunting ...it doesn't get any better

Ok ok I know I'm behind....it just seems this year has flown by and every time I look up another month has passed.
So October...
Well October began with a tradition to Christmas in Cowtown with Rachel Hopper, my mom and myself.  I look forward to this event every year, shopping, and the beginning of the holidays are so much fun and getting to enjoy this with these ladies is a special time!
David and I were both able to go bow hunting in October a few times and had a blast, just as the weather started to cool down too.  There was lots of deer watching, but none that had our name on them, and a lot of work putting corn in feeders and setting up stands.  I will say we did a few selfies in the deer blind to pass the time and to keep ourselves awake ;)
The weather was getting so nice that I was able to take a day off of work and head out on a beautiful day to watch my brother in the first round of Q-school this year in Denton, since David now works in Denton he was even able to come out for a few holes.  Cole did great and made it to the 2nd round of Q-school which is this week in Mississippi (Go get'em Cole)!
Well time was moving fast and the weekend came for our friend Brittany and Collin's going away party :(  We had a great time with everyone and Heather and Vincent were even able to come in town and stay with us for the fun.  We are going to miss this Keeton Fam !
For those of you that know us after the flood happened we were able to get pretty much mostly new furniture, with the exception of our couches or I like to say "David's couches" ;)  UNTIL NOW!  So we decided to sell David's couches and got our new ones the same week!  We love them!  Can't wait to have everyone over to relax on them ;)
REUNION TIME ! In October it came time for the Elder Family Reunion (my dad's side).  We had a fun day in Huntsville hanging out with the Elder Clan and getting to catch up.  This was David's first time around the Elder Clan, they loved him and even let him in on the "Outlaw" picture ;)  One more thing , we all got to meet the pet squirrel JJ , and boy did JJ like David and my dad as you will see in the pictures below.
Some more things in October were getting to celebrate Miss Charlotte's 1st birthday with her, getting to attend one of David's co-workers weddings celebrating the new Mr. & Mrs. Smith and hanging out for a fun Halloween get together at the Knox house.
Now for the event of the month..... and an even bigger event to David!  We decided to sell his truck !  I know I know , some of you are thinking wow Ashlee is cracking the whip ;)  It was actually David's decision to sell the truck, hard to believe I know!  I will say it was pretty sad when he got home from giving the guy the keys :(  , but out with the old and in with the new right ?  Well not quite yet ;)  We are just hoping that Max likes the hummer!
And lastly Halloween...of course we went to Burleson so my dad and I could do our yearly tradition of getting in our gorilla costumes and scaring kids, taking pictures with them and even scaring some of the adults !  We have a blast doing this and papa even joined in on the fun!  One of my favorite trick or treaters was little Luke Holder aka Spiderman ;)
And that is October my friends, now bring on my favorite month of the year NOVEMBER !

September where did it go?

We blinked and September was over !  Here are just a few fun things we did in September.
There was of course more hunting and I'm sure in the next few blogs you will hear about even more hunting, my laundry room stays full of camo this time of year ;)  , David getting my Dad's truck stuck in a hole at the deer lease, fun night with friends cheering on my Texas State Bobcats vs. Texas Tech, my best friends son celebrated his 1st birthday, and a road trip with Lucy and Ethel (my mom and me) to Warrenton/Round Top for some junking while the boys went hunting.  While we were in Warrenton/Round Top my mom and I saw Kori Robertson (from Duck Dynasty - Willie's wife), pretty cool :)
Skype is going to be our best friend in a month ;)
