Whitehead March Madness

I can't believe we are already 3 months in to 2013.  As we began the month of March David and I started playing volleyball on a coed team we got together, Team BOMB DIGgity.  It's been a lot of fun so far, especially trying to remember how to play ;)  we definantly don't play like we used to, but it sure is fun trying ;)
David started playing in his coed softball league again as well , so our week nights have been full.

We had a very special event we went to on March 2nd.  My brother Cole was inducted into the Burleson High School Hall of Fame!!  We could not have been prouder, it was such an honor for him and our family. 

A few other events this month were Max sitting for a week ! Max is David's dog for those of you that don't know and he normally stays with David's mom Patty , but Patty went to Montana for a week so Max was all ours ! I knew that was going to be an interesting week, I never grew up with dogs really and I'm allergic ;) I will admit when Patty got back and picked him up I thought I was going to be glad, but I sure did miss him when he was gone. That same week we got to celebrate Patty's birthday with Mexican food of course and hear all about her Montana trip and getting to see our Niece Kyla turn 16 and start driving ! ! HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTY and MISS KYLA CAMPBELL !

The last big event we had in March was deciding to have a garage sale and get rid of some things. I tend to be a hoarder, and yes David would strongly agree ;) I think he has his tendencies as well though, he just does't want to admit it ;) I mean hey you never know when you might need something right ! Check out the picture below, yes that would be David in a camo cowboy hat, talk about hoarding...ha ha not like he wears it when he goes to the grocery store or anything ;)

Easter came quick and we got to celebrate with my family Saturday night and went to Mammaw's for Easter lunch and also got to stop by for Nanny's Easter/Birthday celebration !  It's always great seeing family!  Hope each and everyone of you had a great Easter with family and friends and took the time to remember exactly what we are celebrating and the amazing sacrifice that was made for each of us.

1 year....we made it!

Wow , time sure does fly when your having fun TEAM WHITEHEAD style.   We can not believe we have been married a year!   
The weekend before our anniversary we decided to hit a few runs on the slopes, one because we love it and two because my new skis needed to test out the snow.  David planned a little trip for us to probably one of the smallest ski places there is...in Missouri ;)  It was about an 8 hour drive, which wasn't that bad.  Well , I take that back....it wasn't that bad for me because my awesome husband drove practically the whole way there and back !  I did drive about an hour and I think that was an hour too long for him ha ha.  We had a great time, and our theme that weekend was "making memories".  This became our running joke for the weekend since we probably won't be making it back there anytime soon :)

We celebrated our 1 year anniversary on February 4th.  My awesome mom brought over our cake top she had re-made for us to eat on our anniversary (thanks Kathleen)...wow it was soooooo yummy and she brought some beautiful flowers for us to enjoy that week...thanks mom !!!  As we were remembering our wedding day we were reminded of the awesome family and friends we have and ALL that you have done for us, we love you all soooo much !  Now we are ready to jump into year 2 and see what it has in store! 

Here are just a few other fun things that happened in February....Bobcat Basketball game (we all know I'm a Bobcat to the end ), met up with my lil sister (big brothers big sisters) who is growing up to be an awesome young lady and I'm so proud of her, went to Corsicana to see our friends Neelee and Andy who were in town and got to hang out with several other of David's friends (well you are all MY friends now too ;)  ) and lastly we attended Advocare Success School and got to hear George W. Bush speak !  It was awesome !!! David was like a kid at Christmas! ;)

 

The last day of February was a special day for a special young lady !  Our Niece Miss Kyla turned sweet 16 !!!!  We really wish we could have been in Montana celebrating with her :( but next time they come to Texas we all better get off the roads ;)  Love you Miss Kyla, thanks for making your Uncle feel old ;)

All in all February was an awesome month, bring on year 2 of marriage!
